Human connections in a technology hub.

Based at ID Manchester, TIC Manchester is a hub where world-leading minds meet and make change.

Only in Manchester could you expect synergy between creative visionaries, leading academics and mavericks from the world of business, digital and the arts. Together, we’re harnessing both computer science and behavioural science to take on real-world challenges and shape the sector, paving the way for a people-centric approach with ethics at the top of the agenda.

A serious boost for business.

With sights set on venture building and acceleration, collaborative R&D, talent and AI ecosystem development, TIC Manchester will increase private sector R&D, accelerate startups, spin outs and scale ups, drive business productivity and resilience, and act as a magnet for inward investment.

A diverse community.

AI will affect everyone, so we’re committed to diversifying the face of the industry as we move forward. From our Advisory Board, made up of 17 women and men from across the UK, of different ages, ethnicities and expertise to the inclusiveness of our programmes we are on a mission to evolve a more inclusive and diverse pipeline of AI practitioners.

Establishing Manchester’s place on the AI map.

TIC Manchester is currently being incubated by the University of Manchester with the goal to spin it out as an independent not-for-profit-organisation that will demonstrate that Manchester is the place for AI research, commercialisation and innovation.
